PROTOTYPE:
The EMD FP7 is a B-B dual-service passenger and freight-hauling diesel locomotive produced from June 1949 until December 1953 by General Motors Electro-Motive Division and General Motors Diesel. The FP7 was essentially EMD's F7A locomotive extended by four feet to give greater water capacity for the steam generator for heating passenger trains.
MODEL:
This model features external details such as handrails, fan grills, air horns and a detailed body shell. There is a powerful Kato motor with brass fly-wheel installed and all wheel pick ups to ensure reliable and smooth running. The headlights also work on these models and the head codes also light up with the direction of travel.
