This set features a Class 66 in the GBRf Aggregate Industries livery accompanied by three IOA Ballast wagons in Network Rail livery. It includes an oval of the Kato UNITRACK which can be easily clipped together on a table and taken apart. It also includes a easy to use controller which comes with a UK Transformer.
Aggregate Industries operates more than 60 quarries in the UK, and supplies heavy building materials like stone, asphalt and concrete to the construction industry. GB Railfreight signed a deal with Aggregate Industries in 2015 to transport their freight.
The Locomotive 66711 'Sence' was named in a ceremony in July 2015 at Bardon Hill Quarry in Leicestershire, a major source of granite. The name comes from Project Sence, which is the extension to the quarry, situated near to the source of the River Sence. The striking Aggregate Industry livery sets it apart from other carriers.
IOA wagons are high-sided wagons built for Network Rail to carry ballast to virtual quarries, and are used all over the country. 120 were built, and they entered service in 2009 clad in the eye-catching Network Rail yellow livery.
