Exclusive limited edition of 200 units
D1000 Western Enterprise was built at Swindon Works in 1961 and was the first ‘Western’ to run off the production line. Western Enterprise was outshopped in a unique striking desert sand livery with wheels, roofpanels, bogies and window frames in black. Buffer beams and front skirts were originally painted in carmine red. She was initially kept at Plymouth Laira before moving to Old Oak Common in 1964. She finished her days back at Plymouth and was withdrawn in February 1974 after 1,240,000 miles service.
