Prototype Notes
Designed primarily for the conveyance of milk in churns.
Built from 1893 in 3 lots followed by Diagram O.4 (which had 3 double doors each side) in multiple lots
Originally rated 6 tons but later lifted to 10 Tons.
This O.4 diagram consisted of the largest group of non-passenger carrying vehicles in the stock lists.
Suitable for pre-grouping right up until early British Railways periods.
The last one was condemned in 1956 after 60 years in service.
